Small habits that make paper sheets easier to read, scan, verify, and share.
The most common mistake is forgetting the date, opponent, location, or home-away status. Without those details, a saved game can be hard to match to a schedule later.
A player might be listed as Ben one game and Benjamin the next, or a jersey number might be reused. Consistent names make season totals more reliable and reduce duplicate player rows.
Cross-outs, arrows, and notes are normal during a game, but they can confuse anyone reviewing the sheet later. If a correction is important, rewrite the final value clearly in the margin or total column.
Before sharing stats, compare final score, team totals, and player totals. A two-minute review catches most mistakes before parents, players, or league admins see them.
